Bee-cological Axis

The project 'Bee-cological Axis' began with the aim of 'return nature to honeybees.' Currently, honeybees are disappearing not only in Korea but also around the world due to Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), and the cause is blamed for 'climate change' due to indiscriminate human activities. If the decline of honeybees accelerates as the current trend continues, the extinction of honeybees cannot be avoided in 2035.
We aim to provide an ecologically suitable habitat for honeybees in urban ecological parks so that they can live stably. The habitat takes the form of an "alternative nature" that resembles nature and forms a single micro-ecosystem. In addition, it is expected that the honeybee population will gradually recover through the establishment of an ecological axis through which it is built in a prototype form in various urban forests.
It is hoped that all of these processes will be possible with minimal human intervention, so that we can learn how to positively affect bees even if we are far from their habitats and raise awareness of the crises faced by bees.
