BEST 100

The criteria for nomination is based not only on the design features of the projects, but also on their functionality and their approach to emphasizing human well-being and environmental protection.

Environment

Environmental design encompasses fields such as architectural design, interior design, public art, urban planning, landscape design and more. The Kyoto Global Design Awards evaluate each entry in terms of nature, society, humanities, environmental impact and other relevant factors to select works whose overall appearance and style meet the above criteria.

Industrial

Industrial design inlcudes areas such as computer-aided design, furniture design, transportation design, product design, software design, systems design and more. The Kyoto Global Design Awards takes into consideration the craftsmanship and value of products in terms of technology, aesthetics and economy to select works that are innovative and/or contribute to future trends.

Famous Designers

Designers and design companies nominated by the media will be honored every year for their influence and popularity in the design field.

These projects can be projects that aim to solve more people's problems or projects that are at the forefront of new trends to reach broad acceptance.

The Kyoto Global Design Awards judges each entry on its overall aesthetic, sophistication and ability to inform and influence the public.
