PCare is a pacifier designed to alleviate discomfort in premature infants through suction monitoring, vibration, and fragrance. Using posture sensing, PCare monitors the baby's sucking frequency to understand if the baby is maintaining a supine position and detecting any discomfort. In case of abnormalities, the detachable main unit will vibrate slightly, transmitting vibrations through the connecting line to the pacifier head and releasing a fragrance to attract the baby to suck. This helps clear the airway and relieve discomfort, reducing the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), with real-time notifications sent to the caregiver.
PCare allows for the replacement of the pacifier head due to the baby's growth, sterilization needs, or pacifier damage. In the later stages of the baby's growth, the app records the replacement of fragrance pellets that the baby may be less fond of, gradually reducing the baby's dependency on PCare and the pacifier to prevent oral and ear development issues.
